The Gypsy Rebels

We're a Toronto-based Gypsy Jazz band that features a repertoire of traditional Gypsy music ("Jelem, Jelem", "Cona Seemus") and original songs by Michael T Butch ("Gypsy Mama", "Nassau Street").  Have a look around and listen to a few of our songs!

Happy New Year from The Gypsy Rebels!

The Gypsy Rebels wish our fans a healthy and prosperous new year!

2008 was a great year for The Gypsy Rebels.  We are close to releasing our Between Worlds album - it's just down to the cover art now.  We played some great venues for the first time, including The Gladstone, Hugh's Room, The Troubador, Lola's, and The Hole in the Wall.  The Night of the Gypsies at The Press Club was a huge success, thanks in part to special guests Gypsophilia from Halifax.

We look forward to great new things in 2009.  This year we will likely play at a number of national festivals and some new venues outside of the GTA.  Join our mailing list to receive updates and notifications of our new gigs.
